the day worth remembering!!

Today was the second day with the assignments. The session began at 8am and we were asked to browse the internet to get ideas to proceed with the questions.A basic idea was given to us and we were asked to  browse regarding binary, hexadecimal, decimal  conversion,to find perfect square root,to represent a floating point, matrix multiplication-all using the 8085 microprocessor.

As the previous day we organized ourselves into 4 groups consisting of 2 members each and were asked to select 2 questions and work on it and the task to be completed by 3pm.We moved to the microprocessor lab and started working on it.The task for us was to 'find the square of a number ,if that number is an element in a matrix'.We could solve it out easily with the data sheet available and could perform the operation on the processor.

The second task was to 'design a program for multiplying two matrices'.We started to work on it  around 11 and tried out all possible logic. Finally  we arrived at  one which we felt was the best and started working on it.But for our disappointment whatever be the matrix we enter the final answer is just 50.We tried to find where the exact problem was for around 2 hours but ended up with the same 50.But still i'm happy that there is an improvement from the last day.Previously we were with no outputs for both the problems but today we could get an output for atleast one!
